In our first deep dive with the Dodge Hornet, we really want to introduce you to the two different engines that you will be able to choose from. The base configuration, coming with the GT trim, is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Here you can get as much as 295 pound-feet of torque and 265 horsepower. This engine, along with the other optional one, both work with all-wheel drive. The other engine in question is a 1.3-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder that works with an electric motor that is mounted on the rear axle. Here you can get as much as 383 pound-feet of torque and 285 horsepower. This doesn't even include the 30 miles of all-electric range that comes from the 15.5-kWh lithium-ion battery. At every turn, the Dodge Hornet will be able to provide you with that extra bump in power that you want out of your Dodge vehicle. We want to mention the six-speed automatic transmission that will also be included.
What are the Hornet R/T's drive modes?
